Peterborough
Diamonds
were
formed
in May
2003 from
girls
who
attended
the
Peterborough
Football
Association's
training
sessions
Due
to the
success
of the
coaching
sessions,
teams
were
formed
at
under
10
and 12
level
and
competed
in the
Cambs
girls
League
and at
under
15
level
in the
Weetabix
League.
The
Diamonds Under
12s,
managed
by
Phil
Pavey finished
runners-up
in the
Cambs
League in
2003/4
but
went
one
better
in
season
2004/5
when
they
switched
to the
Weetabix
11-a-side
League
and
won
the
league
and
cup
titles.
The
under
10s
became
the
under
11s in
2004/5
and
finished
runners-up
in the
Weetabix
League
Cup,
under
the
guidance
of
Alan
Steward.
In
December
2004,
an
under
10s
team
was
formed.
They
competed
in
their
first
ever
league
in
September
2005,
when
they
played
in the
Weetabix
Girls
Under
10s
League
and
finished
in top
spot.
The
Diamonds
Under
15s
have
undergone
many
changes
since
2003
but
with
Richard
Evans
appointed
in Jan
2005,
the
team
has
undergone
a
radical
overhaul
which
has
seen
success
after
success
for
the
squad.
***Update***
2005/6
was a
season
to be
remembered
for
all
the
squads.
Every
team
entered
at
every
age
group
either
won or
came
runner
up in
their
respective
leagues.
I am
sure
you
will
agree
that
this
is an
incredible
achievement
and
one
that
many
clubs
would
like
to lay
claim
to.
**2nd
Update**
The
2008/9
season
sees
some
of the
girls
that
attended
those
first
sessions
graduate
to
ladies
football,
Everyone
ate
the
club
is
very
proud
of
their
achievements
